Adventurous Architectural Designer passionate about world travel.

Cylas has been at Yu & Associates Collaborative since 2023. As part of the team, he has experience with all project phases from design to construction, and can enjoy drawing a new detail just as much as visiting a site. In addition to design and documentation, Cylas is hands-on with improving the standardization and efficient use of BIM software within the practice. Cylas is a licensed Architect in Illinois.

Cylas attended the Illinois Institute of Technology and graduated with an accredited Bachelor of Architecture in 2025. During his studies, he took classes in Italy, Germany, Denmark, and the Netherlands; these experiences are central to his understanding of architecture as both an art form and a framework for everyday life. Cylas is fascinated by the ways that design can drive social interaction and seeks to integrate aspects of cultures from around the world into the American city.

In addition to architecture, Cylas also enjoys exhibit design and construction. Outside of work, he stays active by playing hockey year-round, going to the gym, and running. He is also invested in building and painting models.
