The resulting contrast from traditional to modern as you enter is striking and intentional, with fun, preserved interior archways offering a subtle nod to its original design. At the heart of the home, a well-detailed stairway connects family and visitors alike by being accessible from nearly every part of the main floor. Matching wood balusters and angled tread leads to a skylight over the landing, provoking an experience of ascending or descending along a softly illuminated path. The newly created openness around the stairs encourages effortless conversation across rooms and floors.

In the bright and modern kitchen, family gatherings centered around the large island become routine and accessible. The openness of the room is amplified by white shaker-style cabinets, stainless steel appliances, and the extension of the light wood flooring. Natural light flows into the space from the glass door, providing an immediate visual connection to the backyard and landscape greenery.
